Green Eggs and Ham is about Sam-I-Am’s attempt to convince the narrator to try green eggs and ham. He spends most of the book offering the unnamed narrator different locations and dining partners to try the delicacy. In the end, the narrator relents and eats the green eggs and ham and ends up loving the food.

The Cat in the Hat is a book where an eccentric stranger (who’s a cat!) visits two children, Sally and Sam, who are home alone and having a very dull day. Their mother is out, and when the Cat comes in, he reassures the kids that their mother won’t mind him or his tricks!

The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister is a book about a unique fish with shimmering scales. Other fish admire him and request some of his scales because they want to share in his beauty. At first reluctant, Rainbow Fish eventually relents and finds he enjoys sharing his scales.
